[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongmyung University has signed an agreement with the Daewoo Global Management Research Association to foster global talent.
On the 18th, Jeon Ho-hwan, president of Dongmyung University, and Jang Byung-ju, chairman of the Daewoo Global Management Research Association, signed an agreement for Dongmyung University students to participate in the research association’s global young entrepreneur training program, the ‘Kim Woo-joong Military Academy.’
Dongmyung University plans to send up to 20 students annually to the ‘Kim Woo-joong Military Academy.’
Dongmyung University will jointly operate a separate program with the Daewoo Global Management Research Association that meets the selection criteria of the ‘Kim Woo-joong Military Academy.’
The Daewoo Global Management Research Association will also actively cooperate in recruiting and educating freshmen for Dongmyung University’s Do-ing College, which centers on innovative education characterized by the 3 No’s (no grade levels, no credits, no teaching).
The ‘Kim Woo-joong Military Academy’ provides localized education in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar, and has produced over 1,250 graduates.
In August, Dongmyung University signed a memorandum of understanding with Columbia University in Washington D.C. to mutually utilize campuses.
The agreement allows using Columbia University as a local campus in the U.S. for exchange students, joint degrees, credit and program exchanges, and joint operation of an E-campus.
Credits earned at Columbia University through the exchange program are recognized by Dongmyung University.
President Jeon Ho-hwan stated, “We plan to expand our cooperation network with major universities and companies in the U.S., Europe, China, and Southeast Asia to attract 1,000 foreign students.”
