[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Singer Lee Young-ji has been appointed as an ambassador for Seoul Metropolitan City.

On the 22nd, Seoul announced that it will hold an appointment ceremony for the ambassador at the Basrak Hall in the Seoul City Hall Citizen's Hall in the afternoon, along with a mini concert to commemorate the appointment.

Seoul stated, "Lee Young-ji is active in various fields such as SNS and entertainment with her honest and confident charm, showing bright and positive energy and receiving much love," adding, "She was selected as a Seoul ambassador as a representative icon of Seoul youth who will shape the future of Seoul."

The Seoul ambassador appointment ceremony and mini concert will be broadcast live on Seoul City's official YouTube channel, where the new ambassador Lee Young-ji will perform a total of three songs live, including 'Day and Night.'

Seoul ambassadors are appointed experts from various fields such as broadcasting, architecture, culture, and arts under the vision of 'people who talk about Seoul with love for Seoul,' serving to represent the dreams and hopes of citizens, promote Seoul, and publicize city administration.

Seoul conducts various activities every year with Seoul ambassadors. Among them, 'Cheongchun Eoram' is a mentoring class carried out with the hope that young people will grow into more outstanding talents through mentoring by Seoul ambassadors.

This year, from December 15 for three days, a series of three original content episodes titled '2021 Cheongchun Eoram - Look Forward! Our Seoul' will be released on Seoul City's YouTube channel.
