World Vision and Since 2012... A Total of 350 People Pursuing Dreams and Entering Society

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Hyundai Doosan Infracore, a subsidiary of Hyundai Heavy Industries Group's construction equipment division, announced on the 21st that it held the Dream School 10th Anniversary Performance Report Meeting on the 19th at the main auditorium of its office building in Bundang, Gyeonggi Province. The event was attended by Cho Heung-sik, chairman of the Community Chest of Korea, Cho Myung-hwan, chairman of World Vision, Cho Young-chul, president of Hyundai Doosan Infracore, and participants of Dream School.
On the 20th, former mentors and mentees of Dream School gathered online for a Homecoming Day to celebrate the 10th anniversary, including activities such as reflecting on the past 10 years and regional communication sessions. Dream School is a youth dream-finding mentoring program that Hyundai Doosan Infracore has been conducting since 2012 in partnership with the international relief and development NGO World Vision. By providing various experiences to youths in regions where its business sites are located, such as Seoul, Incheon, and Gunsan, the program supports them in concretizing their career paths and finding their dreams.
At the performance report meeting, there was an introduction to 10 years of mentoring activities, research results on the growth of mentors and mentees who participated in the program, case presentations by participants, and expert panel discussions, sharing the value and meaning of the program. So far, 404 Hyundai Doosan Infracore employee mentors and 487 experts have participated in the Dream School program. A total of 459 youths participated as mentees, with 350 finding dreams suited to their aptitudes and entering society.
President Cho Young-chul emphasized, "It is the role of adults and society to help the youths who will lead our society to nurture their dreams," adding, "The journey together of employees and youths for a better future will continue."
