Beauty Bakery recruits Guillaume Patri to "transfer NFT expertise"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Beauty Bakery announced on the 19th that it has appointed former professional gamer and broadcaster Guillaume Patry as an advisor and promoter for its new blockchain platform business, the ‘LOTT Project.’

A company official stated, “Guillaume Patry has demonstrated a high level of understanding and insight into the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries, having invested in Bitcoin from the early days of cryptocurrency investment and achieving significant returns. We expect Guillaume Patry to provide valuable advice and support in advancing Beauty Bakery’s blockchain platform business, the ‘LOTT Project,’ which is being promoted as a future growth engine.”

Guillaume Patry, originally from Quebec, Canada, was formerly a professional StarCraft gamer and recently appeared on broadcast programs revealing his successful investment cases in cryptocurrency and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), attracting attention.

Patry disclosed that he purchased Bitcoin when it was trading at $700 and realized more than 60 times profit. He also revealed that he recently bought an NFT featuring a monkey image for 300,000 KRW, which currently has a market value of approximately 20 to 30 million KRW.

The ‘LOTT Project’ promoted by Beauty Bakery is a metaverse ecosystem where K-Beauty, K-Pop, and related NFT content are consumed using the ‘LOTT Token’ through a blockchain-based payment system. The ‘LOTT Token’ will serve as a payment method within the metaverse ecosystem and is expected to be usable at external offline stores through partnerships with various companies in the future.

Beauty Bakery is jointly promoting the ‘LOTT Project’ with numerous domestic and international companies to ensure its success. On the 8th, Beauty Bakery acquired Kesmai, the developer of Immopet, a game that combines pet metaverse and NFTs, to expand the ‘LOTT Token’ ecosystem and strengthen its NFT and metaverse-related businesses.

Kim Haksik, CEO of Beauty Bakery, said, “We are continuously recruiting industry experts and conducting business agreements and partnerships with related companies to expand our blockchain platform business. Currently, the ‘LOTT Platform’ is in the final stages of development, and we plan to launch the beta service of the ‘LOTT Platform’ in the first half of next year.”
