[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Lotte Shopping announced on the 18th that it will open the 4th branch of the 'Rejoice Psychological Counseling Center' on the 2nd floor of Lotte Mall Suji on the 19th, with an area of about 50㎡ (approximately 15 pyeong). Reflecting the store’s characteristics of having many customers accompanied by infants and young children, a kids' library and a kids-only counseling space were separately arranged.

Lotte Shopping stated that to lower the barriers to psychological counseling, they have opened counseling centers in department stores and marts that anyone can easily access, striving to create counseling spaces where people of all ages and genders can comfortably use. Starting with the first branch at Centum City Department Store in September last year, followed by Jamsil Mart, Dongtan Department Store, they are now opening the 4th branch at Lotte Mall Suji.

The 'Rejoice Psychological Counseling Center' has attracted great interest with a high reservation rate of about 80%, mainly from customers in the surrounding commercial areas. The cumulative number of consultations at branches 1 to 3 from January to October this year was approximately 1,300, with female customers accounting for 80% and those in their 20s and 30s making up more than 50%. The revisit rate also exceeded 30%, and on weekends, consultation reservations often sold out early.

In the case of the Dongtan branch, which opened last August, it recorded over 350 consultations in about three months since opening, with the number of customers increasing monthly. The Dongtan commercial area is characterized by a high proportion of people under their 40s and many infants and young children, and it is expected that demand will be high among 'young moms' in their 30s and 40s in the Suji Mall area, which has similar characteristics.

At the Rejoice Psychological Counseling Center, professional psychological counselors are stationed to conduct in-depth counseling, art therapy, temperament tests, and various other counseling and experiential programs. Consultations are available through advance reservations via the website and on-site registration. Representative counseling services include personality and temperament tests, parent and childcare counseling, and couple, spouse, and family counseling. To commemorate the opening, all consultations at the Suji branch are available at a 50% discount until the 31st of next month. Each consultation session lasts 50 minutes, and child intelligence tests are conducted over 100 minutes. In addition to counseling, various healing classes such as color therapy and art psychotherapy, which anyone can participate in, are offered, and goods featuring 'Joyce,' the representative character of Rejoice, such as pens and dolls, are also available. All proceeds from the counseling center will be donated entirely to social contribution activities.
