"If You See This Photo, You Are Blessed by the God of Study"… Lee Jae-myung Reveals 1982 College Entrance Exam Admission Ticket Photo by Candidate Lee Instagram capture

[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, cheered on examinees by posting a photo of his college entrance exam admission ticket a day before the 2022 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT).

On the 17th, Lee posted on his Instagram a photo of himself along with his '1982 College Entrance Examination Admission Ticket' showing his exam number, name, and selected subjects.

He wrote, "Congratulations! You who see this photo have been blessed by the God of Study," and added, "Please pass this blessing on to other examinees," with hashtags '#Cheering_with_all_my_heart', '#Stay_strong_examinees', and '#Wishing_for_success'.

Earlier, in another post on his Facebook, he encouraged examinees by saying, "I hope you spend tomorrow trusting the time you have accumulated and yourself without regrets," and "You will get good results as much as you have worked hard."

He also stated, "Even if the exam results do not meet your expectations, your efforts will never disappear," and "Everything that makes you who you are will not go anywhere."

Additionally, Lee shared an anecdote on SNS about attending a middle school qualification exam academy while working as a boy laborer. He said, "After work, I ran straight to the academy. Many days I ran and walked the 3km distance without taking the bus," and "Of course, I walked back. I spent all my allowance on buying notebooks and writing tools, so I hardly had bus fare."

He continued, "Exhausted, when I arrived at the academy, I washed my face with cold water and entered the class. Why was it so hot and sleepy... Why was the bathroom smell so strong..." and added, "I studied with all my might. I was tired but happy. The reason I could do that was because it was the first time I heard 'praise.' The teachers' praise for studying well was recognition I had never received from anyone."

Meanwhile, Lee completed his middle and high school courses through qualification exams and entered the College of Law at Chung-Ang University in 1982.
