The Korea Casino Industry Tourism Association (President Choi Seong-wook) held the '2021 Student Casino Dealing Competition' at the Job Fair on November 17.
The competition was held at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, in conjunction with the '2021 Tourism Industry Job Fair' (hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), and was conducted in compliance with the Step 1 quarantine guidelines for phased daily recovery.
Students selected from tourism high schools nationwide participated in the competition, where their overall skills required for casino dealers?including game operation ability, dealing techniques, and proper attitude?were evaluated. The event was conducted with prior practical training for casino dealing standardization provided by the GKL Talent Development Institute and with the cooperation of the judges.
Awards and prizes were presented to the recipients who received excellent evaluations, under the name of the President of the Korea Casino Industry Tourism Association.
An association official stated, "Despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, the competition was successfully completed thanks to the active participation and cooperation of many students, and we appreciate the students' passion for becoming casino dealers." He added, "We hope that the current hardships will end soon, and that a day will come again when we lead job creation and the resolution of youth unemployment issues."
