Korean Venture Innovation Society to Hold Autumn Academic Conference on the 17th with the Theme of 'Corporate ESG Management'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Venture Innovation Society (President Jeon In-o) will hold an academic conference on the 17th to discuss corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management with industry-academia-research stakeholders.

The Korea Venture Innovation Society will hold its autumn academic conference under the theme "ESG Management of Small and Medium Venture Innovation Companies" at 2 p.m. on the same day at the Diamond Hall of the Federation of Korean Industries building in Yeouido, Seoul. This event, sponsored by Asia Economy, featured a congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony by Lee Ui-cheol, CEO of Asia Economy.

Jung Woon-chan, chairman of the Win-Win Growth Research Institute, will deliver a keynote speech titled "Direction of Innovation in the Era of Great Transformation," and Professor Moon Doo-cheol of Yonsei University will give a lecture on the theme "How Should Companies Conduct ESG Management?"

Shin Seung-ho, group leader of N2B, a POSCO group company, will introduce the company's ESG management case, the "Good Friend" program, and Jeon Young-tae, head of the Win-Win Cooperation Department at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, will explain the current status and characteristics of KHNP's ESG.

In the panel discussion, Professor Lee Hyung-oh of Sookmyung Women's University will serve as the chair, with Professor Moon, Professor Lee Sang-myung of Hanyang University, and Dr. Jogeumje participating as panelists to explore the direction of ESG management.

Meanwhile, the society is providing direction for effective response and preparation of venture and startup companies in the COVID-19 era through the publication of the Venture Innovation Research Journal and monthly regular seminars.
