Next-generation beauty tech company Takion B&T Co., Ltd. (CEO Kang Deok-ho) announced on the 16th that it has appointed Mo Hye-yeon, the current General Manager of Marie Claire Korea, as its Global Business Division Chief Visionary Officer (CVO) and advisor.

Takion B&T's Ticker app is a beauty life platform equipped with an AR camera that allows non-face-to-face experience of actual cosmetics, video calls, social, and commerce functions. It surpassed 600,000 cumulative downloads within just three months of its launch and has attracted industry attention by holding the number one spot on the Google Play Store beauty category popularity chart for about 10 weeks.

This recruitment is expected to accelerate Takion B&T's entry into the global market. In October, Takion B&T filed a PCT international patent and introduced the Ticker service to the Japanese market. Starting with Japan, the company plans to expand its services to Hong Kong, China, and Singapore in 2022, and to the United States and major European countries in 2023.

Takion B&T is leading the digital transformation of the beauty market based on its proprietary convergence technologies such as augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), non-face-to-face video processing, and big data. Takion B&T plans to provide an integrated service as a SaaS-type 'Digital Beauty Solution (BaaS: Beauty-tech as a Service),' covering digital mirroring of physical cosmetics, support for online and offline multi-channel distribution networks, and customized analytical data.

Mo Hye-yeon, who oversees the Korean business of the French fashion magazine brand Marie Claire, is a fashion-beauty distribution media expert with 30 years of experience. She has created new concepts and innovations and led global partnerships with leading domestic and international companies. As Chief Visionary Officer, Mo Hye-yeon will present global vision and cultural leadership and lead Takion B&T's global expansion.

CEO Kang Deok-ho said, "Takion B&T's beauty tech business is at a point where it is ready to leap forward beyond the initial stage," adding, "We are very pleased and encouraged to welcome the industry's top visionary at this timely stage when advanced vision is needed."

Chief Visionary Officer Mo Hye-yeon stated, "I see great growth potential in the digital beauty market. New possibilities will open across all value chains of the beauty industry. I am pleased to meet this innovative leading company and passionate team that create more convenient and enjoyable online and offline consumer experience solutions, and I aim to bring positive change and value to the global ecosystem."
