The research association is conducting projects to share and spread community contribution achievements.

The event was held with the purpose of revitalizing the Busan Gijang Filming Studio, scheduled to be built in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, and discovering ideas for linking Gijang-gun’s tourism resources.

Participants received preliminary education on problem-solving process, KPI design, and achievement methods for team projects, and chose one of the following themes for pre-study: ▲ ideas to enhance the city brand image linked to the Busan Filming Studio construction ▲ unique tourism content ideas for Gijang-gun using movies and dramas.

On the 11th, participating teams had time to verify their prepared ideas. Based on a briefing on local issues by Ban Ji-han, an official from the Gijang-gun Culture and Tourism Department, teams conducted field surveys and interviews with local experts to concretize their ideas and produced results.

To utilize student ideas, related local organizations including Gijang-gun, the Korean Film Council, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters, and Busan Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency participated in the evaluation.

As a result of the judging, Honam University’s Dragon Ball team received the grand prize by proposing a low-cost, high-efficiency promotional plan for Gijang-gun using short-form content under the theme ‘Challenge in Gijang.’

The Excellence Award was given to two teams that received high praise from the judges: Daejeon University’s E.M.S team with ‘Gijang Odego, Dandi Alryeojulge’ and Jeju University’s Jedaero team with ‘Giriki Gijang-gun-e Namuri.’
