[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yuri] Hyundai Department Store announced on the 15th that dessert product sales at 16 stores nationwide, including the Apgujeong Main Store, increased by 49.7% compared to the same period last year, from the 1st to the 14th of this month.

Hyundai Department Store is operating a pop-up store for the French dessert brand 'YANN COUVREUR' on the B1 floor of The Hyundai Seoul until the 2nd of next month. This is the first time the dessert brand created by French star patissier Yann Couvreur is introduced in a domestic department store. Signature menu items include 'Merveilleux' and 'Hotfox Original.'
A Hyundai Department Store official said, "High-priced desserts, carefully crafted by patissiers not only in taste but also in appearance, are gaining popularity on SNS, increasing customer demand," adding, "We will continue to discover and introduce brands known as dessert hotspots."
