[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk Province, has signed an academic exchange business agreement with the Jeonbuk Research Institute Jeonbuk Studies Research Center.
According to the county on the 15th, this agreement ceremony was held to promote a cooperative relationship with the Jeonbuk Research Institute Jeonbuk Studies Research Center for the formation of a regional studies network and the expansion of academic exchanges, with signatures from County Governor Yoo Gi-sang and Jeonbuk Research Institute Director Kwon Hyuk-nam.
Both organizations plan to mutually cooperate in various fields including ▲conducting joint research and co-hosting academic events ▲exchange of academic materials, publications, knowledge information, and human resources ▲development and implementation of joint campaigns, education, and survey programs.
The county has proactively recognized the necessity of regional studies and hired a dedicated curator for 'Gochang Studies.'
Additionally, through various programs such as the Gochang Studies academic conference, excellent thesis contest, citizen academy, support for research and survey small groups, publication of series, and operation of the Gochang Shin Jae-hyo Literary Award, it is presenting a model case of regional studies research in the Jeonbuk area.
County Governor Yoo Gi-sang said, “I am very honored to sign an academic business agreement with the Jeonbuk Research Institute (Jeonbuk Studies Research Center), which is leading regional studies research,” and added, “Through this agreement, I hope to widely promote the status of 'Gochang Studies' and become a model of cooperation between regional studies research institutions and local governments as partners for mutual growth.”
