"Unique Content Competition"... Hotel Chains Target Year-End Travel Demand in With-Corona Era Paradise City, heated pool open all year round.


[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] As the phased daily recovery (With Corona) is implemented, the long-stagnant travel industry is showing signs of revival.


According to a recent survey conducted by the employment platform JobKorea targeting the '3050' generation, 40.7% of respondents chose 'domestic travel' as the activity they most want to do after the implementation of With Corona. Along with this, on the 8th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism designated November as the '2021 Travel Month' to encourage the spread of safe travel culture, raising expectations.


In response, the hotel industry is launching unique products such as 'With Corona' promotions, regional tourism, and wellness packages to capture year-end travel demand from those wanting to enjoy leisure safely.


Paradise City prepared the 'Wonderful Pool Week' promotion to commemorate the implementation of With Corona. Including benefits from 'Cimer' and 'Wonder Box,' it will be presented in a relay style for seven days during the first week of each month from November to January next year with different compositions each month. A Paradise City official said, "As a result of the first 'Wonderful Week' promotion, the sales rate increased more than three times compared to other products in the previous month," adding, "The Christmas holiday limited package sold out within two days of opening sales due to its popularity." He also added, "The upcoming second and third promotions will be introduced with differentiated benefits and reasonable prices."


Lotte Hotel is conducting the 'Join the Market Tour' promotion to strengthen win-win cooperation with small business owners and promote regional tourism content and safe travel in the With Corona era. By booking the 'November Seasonal Package' through the official website or application (app) and verifying completion of vaccination upon check-in, guests can receive benefits. At Lotte Hotel Seoul, Jeju, and Ulsan, a 10,000 KRW Onnuri gift certificate, usable like cash at traditional markets, is provided, while at Lotte Hotel World, Busan, L7 Hotels (Myeongdong and Hongdae), and four Lotte City Hotels, an eco-friendly cooler bag from Lotte Hotel is offered. Common benefits include a safe market tour kit consisting of a 5,000 KRW market voucher, masks, and a guidebook to representative markets selected by the Korea Tourism Organization. The promotion runs until the 30th.


Sofitel Ambassador Seoul launched the 'Relax the French Way' package to end a year tired from COVID-19 with rest. It includes one night in a 'Prestige Suite' room, breakfast, all-day snacks, afternoon tea, evening cocktails with access to the Executive Lounge, and a massage treatment at 'Sofitel Spa by Beaute Biar.' It is available until March 30 next year.


Andaz Seoul Gangnam offers the 'Guys Night Out' package, allowing up to four people to stay for free and enjoy a year-end party. The package includes a liquor basket composed of four bottles of beer, one bottle of Grey Goose vodka, snacks, and hangover remedies, as well as a hangover breakfast set for the next day. The package is available until December 31.
