Sinan-gun Hosts Salt Expo Direct Market for Kimjang Season

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Jeollanam-do, and Yeonggwang-gun, will hold the 2nd direct transaction market for three days from the 12th to the 14th at the Olympic Plaza shopping center in Seoul.

According to Shinan-gun on the 12th, the first metropolitan area salt expo direct transaction market was held from the 14th to the 16th of last month, and it was successfully concluded with great interest from nearby residents and surrounding merchants.

This 2nd direct transaction market will supplement the shortcomings of the 1st event by offering discounts on solar salt and adding seasonings such as salted seafood in time for the kimchi-making season, providing convenience such as on-site purchases of various products and card payment options.

A total of about 10 solar salt companies will participate, targeting housewives and restaurant operators for direct transactions of solar salt (solar salt, topan salt, processed salt, etc.) and holding prize events based on purchase amounts.

Additionally, promotion will be conducted to enable the purchase of agricultural and marine products necessary for kimchi-making at affordable prices through special exhibitions on the Shinan1004 Mall operated by Shinan-gun.

A county official stated, “We hope that during the upcoming kimchi-making season, people will purchase reliable and high-quality Shinan solar salt at production prices through this direct transaction market to make delicious kimchi.”
