Kona I, Nolbu Sign Business Agreement to Revitalize Delivery Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Kona I announced on the 12th that it has signed a business agreement with the Korean food franchise company Nolbu to revitalize public delivery services through the expansion of franchise stores.


Through this business agreement, the two companies will actively cooperate to introduce 17 Nolbu franchise stores, including Nolbu Bossam Jokbal, Nolbu Budae Jjigae, Jjolmyeon Juseun Samgyeop Bonneung, Donkatsu Pongdang Tteokbokki Gongsugan, Heungbu Jjimdak, Nolbu Alchan Dosirak, Nolbu Dakgalbi, Nolbu Yetnal Tongdak, Nolbu Hwadeok Jokbal, Nolbu Kimchi Jjim, Nolbu Yuhwang Ori Jineuk Gui, Donkatsu Bonneung, Tangsuyuk Bonneung, Ori Bonneung, Obul Janggun, Jikhwa Gogi Bibimbap Hoban Sik, and I'm Pasta, into the public delivery service based on local currency operated by Kona I to revitalize the public delivery service.


In particular, they plan to jointly carry out various promotional activities to support franchise stores, such as store opening commemorative events and coupon discount events.


Byun Donghoon, Vice President of Kona I, said, "We are pleased to join forces with Nolbu, a leading domestic food franchise company, to build a delivery service ecosystem for small business owners struggling due to the spread of COVID-19 and excessive fees from private platforms. We are also signing business agreements with various franchise companies such as Ma Wang Jokbal, Pizza Hut, Goobne Chicken, Bongus Bap Burger, Nene Chicken, and Pizza Nara Chicken Gongju, and we are working to improve the service to be more user-friendly, so please look forward to it."


Meanwhile, since introducing the public delivery service 'Baedal Seogu' on the Incheon Seo-gu local currency platform in January 2020, Kona I has been leading the public delivery service trend by launching services such as 'Baedal Yangsan' in Yangsan City, 'Daeko Baedal' in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon City, and 'Baedal e-eum' throughout Incheon City.


Kona I's delivery service is embedded in the local currency app and can be used without installing a separate app or signing up as a member. It offers excellent user benefits by providing a 10% cashback through local currency payment along with additional discounts from franchise stores. Unlike private delivery platforms, it has no or low franchise fees, increasing the number of users participating in good consumption for regional coexistence, and it is successfully settling in the local community.


Kona I is currently advancing its service by remodeling the delivery service UI/UX and introducing an objective review system called 'Kkulmat Pyeongga' (Honey Taste Evaluation), and plans to enhance user convenience by adding various functions such as delivery status confirmation.
