[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] A total of 56 companies, including Rakomtec Co., Ltd., were listed in the promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) certification list of Daejeon City. This year's 'Sales Top' in the 1 trillion KRW category went to LX Semicon Co., Ltd.
Daejeon City announced on the 11th that it held the '15th Sales Top Awards Ceremony and Promising SME Certification Ceremony' at Hotel ICC located in Doryong-dong, Yuseong-gu.
At the event, the companies awarded the Sales Top were LX Semicon Co., Ltd., Solid ENG Co., Ltd., Seonggyeong Food Co., Ltd., Handok Cleantec Co., Ltd., Dasan Energy Co., Ltd., Intek Plus Co., Ltd., Myungdu General Construction Co., Ltd., Able Information Technology Co., Ltd., Vision Semicon Co., Ltd., Daeyoung Metal Industry Co., Ltd., Easytec Co., Ltd., Neslab Co., Ltd., Chemoptics Co., Ltd., IC Food Co., Ltd., Restec Co., Ltd., Dow Logistics Co., Ltd., SK Solar Energy Co., Ltd., Sein Homesys Co., Ltd., Desikan Co., Ltd., and The Bamboo Co., Ltd., totaling 20 companies.
The Sales Top is awarded to companies that have contributed to revitalizing the local economy by pioneering domestic sales channels and exceeding sales of 10 billion KRW. Since 2007, a total of 287 local companies have received the Sales Top.
The companies selected as promising SMEs include Rakomtec Co., Ltd., i3 System Co., Ltd., BBC Co., Ltd., Enbion Co., Ltd., Samjin Precision Co., Ltd., Seonggyeong Food Co., Ltd., among 56 companies.
The city certifies promising SMEs by selecting small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered or operating in Daejeon that have operated factories in the region for more than three years and are evaluated to have high growth potential. The promising SME certification started in 1998, and a total of 778 companies have been certified to date.
Companies awarded the Sales Top and promising SMEs receive a 3% interest differential on loans for 'SME Management Stabilization Funds' and a 2% interest differential on loans for 'Startup and Competitiveness Enhancement Funds.'
Additionally, they receive bonus points when participating in trade support projects hosted by the city and are provided with incentive benefits related to corporate support policies such as company promotion.
At the ceremony, representatives from LX Semicon Co., Ltd., which won the 1 trillion KRW category Sales Top, and KN Tech Co., Ltd., a promising SME awardee, delivered acceptance speeches.
Heo Tae-jeong, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "I express my gratitude to local businesspeople who have achieved a series of accomplishments despite the difficult economic situation," and added, "The city will continue to spare no effort in supporting funding, expanding domestic sales channels, and fostering global corporate growth for the growth and leap of local SMEs."
