[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] As Samsung Electronics' smartphone lineup for next year is taking shape, the 'youngest' model, the 'Galaxy A13,' is also beginning to be unveiled.
On the 10th (local time), IT specialist media SamMobile predicted that Samsung Electronics will launch the A13 in early next year in two models: 4G (SM-A135F) and 5G (SM-A136B).
Among Samsung Electronics' budget-friendly 'Galaxy A' series, the A13, which is the lowest-priced model, is expected to be released at a price below 200 euros (approximately 270,000 KRW). Samsung is likely to lower the price by equipping the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset as the application processor (AP). However, according to SamMobile, the AP chipsets and rear cameras of the 4G and 5G models may be applied somewhat differently.
According to the disclosed information, the A13 will feature a 6.5-inch Infinity-V display, and RAM and internal storage will be released in models of 4GB·64GB and 6GB·128GB, respectively. There is also speculation that Android 12-based One UI 4.0 may be provided as the default.
The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel F1.2 main wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, providing a triple rear camera. The battery will be a large-capacity 5000mAh battery, as in the previous model, and is expected to support 25-watt (W) fast charging.
The A13's colors are expected to be offered in four options?black, white, blue, and orange?similar to the 'Galaxy A33·A53.' Additionally, a USB-C type port and a 3.5mm headphone jack are also expected to be included.
The predecessor, the 'Galaxy A12,' released last February, featured a 6.5-inch large Infinity-V display and was equipped with a MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The rear had a quad camera setup including a 48-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It also had a 5000mAh battery and supported 15W fast charging.
