[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A Filipino businessman and influencer posted an advertisement on the rooftop of a building in Yongsan, Seoul, asking Jennie of the group 'BLACKPINK' out on a date.

Christian Albert Gaja uploaded a photo of the billboard displayed on a building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on his social media on the 30th of last month, stating, "I didn't know how to contact Jennie, so I decided to put up an advertisement in the heart of South Korea, not far from the YG headquarters."

The billboard read, "Kim Jennie Ruby Jane, you are my ideal type," followed by, "Would you have dinner with me and make me the happiest person?"

In another post on the 4th, he said, "My original plan was to buy Jennie a house and land in Korea," adding, "However, unfortunately, on the 13th of last month, I found out through Jennie's website that she would no longer accept gifts from passionate fans like me. So, I decided to put up an advertisement inviting Jennie to dinner."

He introduced himself on Facebook as Jennie's 'number one fan' and posted numerous photos and videos combining his own pictures with Jennie's. He also uploaded various photos and videos that appeared as if he was facing Jennie, touching cheeks, or video calling her.

Netizens who saw this reacted negatively, saying things like "This is at a stalker level," "Have dinner with your family," "This seems excessive," and "Isn't he exploiting Jennie?"

Meanwhile, Christian Albert Gaja is known as a Facebook influencer with 510,000 followers and a CEO of an advertising marketing company. According to Gaja, the advertisement cost 1.5 million pesos (approximately 35 million KRW).
