[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BC Card is taking the lead in fostering coexistence with local small business owners through analysis based on payment data from the Busan area.
On the 4th, BC Card announced that it signed a business agreement with Busan Metropolitan City at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 2 in Haeundae-gu, Busan, to "foster and support the Busan data-based fintech industry." The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Yoon-il, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs of Busan, Byun Hyung-gyun, Head of AI Big Data Division (Executive Director) at BC Card, and other officials.
The Busan data-based fintech industry fostering and support project is led by Busan City, companies, and Busan fintech startups to provide local small business owners with business analysis based on sales, location, and credit data, as well as marketing strategies, aiming to promote regional economic development.
Through this business agreement, BC Card will supply consumer and payment data by merchant for business analysis of small business owners in Busan. This will allow for more detailed sales and commercial district analysis, helping local small business owners expand customer touchpoints?from product sales strategies targeting specific customer segments to strengthening sales capabilities and developing new products.
Additionally, the project will be supported through the "Busan Financial Big Data Platform Lab," which was established in collaboration with Busan City in September last year. Currently, BC Card is leading support for Busan-area startups by providing and analyzing various data on the Busan Financial Big Data Platform Lab, including ▲online commercial district analysis by purchase item and ▲support for new city planning design based on consumer data.
Byun Hyung-gyun, Head of AI Big Data Division at BC Card, said, "We will strive to create a coexistence model that supports the stable growth of small business owners through various lifestyle and financial big data convergence activities in the future."
