[Asia Economy Online Issue Team] Singer Seo In-young, formerly of the girl group Jewelry, directly addressed the rumors surrounding her.
Seo In-young appeared as a guest on the 15th episode of the Channel IHQ variety show 'Unnie is Shooting!' aired at 10:30 PM on the 2nd, where she played the 'Truth or Lie' game with the three MCs (Son Dam-bi, So Yi-hyun, and Ahn Young-mi).
First, regarding the rumor that she "dragged singer IU to the bathroom and assaulted her," Seo In-young said it was "absurd," adding, "If I wanted to hit her, why would I do it in the bathroom instead of the waiting room? I have never taken IU to the bathroom nor hit her."
She also added, "IU herself has explained that 'such a thing never happened'."
Next, about the rumor that she almost got into a physical fight with singer Jessi, Seo In-young explained, "I first met Jessi when she was 17, and we got along well and quickly became close. I played a prank on Jessi, and Jessi also joked that 'there was a time we almost fought.' We didn’t think much of it, but people around us made a big deal out of it."
The MCs responded with sympathy, saying, "So it was an ad-lib for the show," and "It was just playful banter for entertainment."
In addition, Seo In-young clarified rumors about being a strict disciplinarian and an expert in adult content. The three MCs, listening to her, expressed empathy, saying, "When celebrities get caught up in controversies, people only talk about that, but then they also bring up the past and connect it all. Watching that, I thought, 'So this is how the algorithm works.'"
