[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] Softcamp announced on the 2nd that it has been listed as a CDR vendor in the 'Protecting Web Applications from Malicious File Uploads' report published by Gartner, a global information technology (IT) market research firm.
In this report, Gartner presented measures to protect web applications from malicious file uploads. As part of this, it explained △limiting file types to the minimum necessary △four options to inherently reduce the risk of malware uploads for allowed file types. Among the four options, CDR was mentioned first, with Gartner viewing content disarm and reconstruction (CDR) as the option providing the highest level of security.
The report stated, "It removes all threats from uploaded files without significant latency," and "Because it does not rely on known threat detection, it can protect against completely new types of attacks."
Softcamp demonstrated its global technological capabilities by being listed as a CDR supplier alongside global companies such as Votiro and OPSWAT in this report. Baehwankuk, CEO of Softcamp, said, "Through this listing, not only has Softcamp's capability in CDR technology itself been proven, but being named in a report from a globally recognized institution is also very meaningful," adding, "It will be a significant milestone for market expansion."
