[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] YapX, a KOSDAQ-listed company, has expanded its production equipment to meet the demand for RFID tags for clothing.
On the 2nd, YapX completed the additional acquisition of ▲tag converting equipment ▲specialized auto-labeling equipment for clothing RFID tags, capable of producing 30,000 RFID tags per hour, last month. Through this facility expansion, YapX now has an annual production capacity exceeding 200 million RFID tags.
Last year, YapX delivered approximately 25 million clothing RFID tags. The company expects sales of about 50 million this year and approximately 100 million in 2022, and plans to fully respond to demand by expanding production facilities.
YapX is the largest RFID tag manufacturer in Korea, supplying products to numerous leading clothing brands. The company states that its RFID tags are recognized as market-leading products by improving efficiency in production, logistics, inventory, and sales management, and that profitability has also increased through expanded supply combined with solutions.
Choi Simyeong, CEO of YapX, said, “YapX is the only company in Korea to have established an integrated production system from tag antenna design to final labeling, and is highly regarded for its superior technology and quality.” He added, “Since the traditional clothing industry has faced limitations due to human and material losses caused by manual product management, YapX will continue to grow further based on its comprehensive RFID company capabilities, including optimized tag design, production, and solution supply.”
