[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is achieving results in attracting investment for startup companies in the software (SW) convergence and promising knowledge service sectors through the 'Incheon Rising Star Program.'
According to Incheon TP on the 2nd, they recently held the 'Incheon Rising Star Program Investment IR (Investor Relations) Business Day' with SID Partners, a specialized business accelerator, supporting investment attraction activities for 10 companies.
Through this, three companies?DMP Networks (pet medical expense information service), Wello (personalized policy recommendation service), and ELY Company (C2M-based total service for vegan beauty products)?each secured initial investments of 20 million KRW from SID Partners.
Additionally, Burnit (automatic exercise log service) successfully attracted a total investment of 290 million KRW from professional investors including Strong Ventures, accelerating its commercialization.
An Incheon TP official stated, "The Incheon Rising Star Program is a project that closely supports the growth of companies," adding, "We also plan to support various follow-up projects to help companies enter overseas markets, such as product and service localization, by utilizing global university talents within the Incheon Global Campus."
Meanwhile, Incheon TP is conducting various support projects to help the growth of a total of 30 companies through the 'Incheon Rising Star Program.' Among them, 13 outstanding companies received support of up to 30 million KRW per company to cover costs related to the advancement of their products or services.
