Products with 'Happiness Credit' Saving 1% of Purchase Amount for Donation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] 11st announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 'SOVAC Market Sale Festa,' offering various products from social enterprises at discounted prices until the 30th, in celebration of the year's biggest shopping festival, the '2021 Sipiljeol Festival.'
The SOVAC Market Sale Festa is presented at the 'SOVAC Market,' a social enterprise product specialty store opened in July by 11st in collaboration with SK Group's social enterprise 'Haengboknarae.' It aims to help social enterprises that need product promotion and sales activation in line with the Sipiljeol Festival to achieve substantial sales growth.
A total of 26 organizations, including social enterprises, preliminary social enterprises, and social venture companies active in various fields such as job creation, eco-friendliness, and fair trade, are participating, showcasing over 300 products. A 30% discount coupon (up to 20,000 KRW) usable during the event period will also be issued 10 times per ID.
Products include children's red ginseng jelly from 'Nanum Food,' a social enterprise employing vulnerable groups such as the elderly and low-income individuals; organic cereal from 'Seaton Bakery,' which supports the self-sufficiency and independence of people with severe disabilities; natural bamboo toothbrushes from 'Dr. Noah,' practicing zero waste; and cold brew coffee pouches from 'Areumdaun Coffee,' which helps solve poverty through fair trade.
Many products linked to SK Telecom's donation program 'Haengbok Credit' are also featured. When purchasing these products, 1% of the purchase amount is donated to support those in need, such as elderly people living alone and disabled youth.
Baek Chang-don, Head of External Cooperation at 11st, said, "Through this event, we hope to expand customers' interest and empathy toward social enterprises working to solve various problems our society faces," adding, "We will create the 2021 Sipiljeol Festival where customers can realize the value of ethical consumption together."
