Shinhan Card Launches 'ShopPay', a Dedicated Card for Easy Payments: "5% Point Accumulation"

Earn Up to 5% Points When Using 7 Major Simple Payment Services Including Naver Pay and Kakao Pay

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] Shinhan Card announced on the 2nd that it has launched the 'Shop Pay Shinhan Card,' a service specialized for use with the seven major domestic simple payment methods.

This card allows users to earn up to 5% of the amount spent as My Shinhan Points based on the previous month's spending when used with any of the seven major domestic simple payment methods (Shinhan Pay, Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, PAYCO, SK Pay, Smile Pay, Coupay), regardless of whether the purchase is online or offline.

Points are accumulated simply by paying with a simple payment method, eliminating the hassle of checking eligible merchants for point accumulation or searching for cards specialized for specific merchants.

If the previous month's spending is between 300,000 KRW and less than 500,000 KRW, up to 10,000 points are awarded; between 500,000 KRW and less than 900,000 KRW, up to 20,000 points; and if spending exceeds 900,000 KRW, up to 30,000 points are accumulated.

The previous month's spending criteria include usage amounts from the seven major simple payment methods, telecom automatic payments (SKT, KT, LGU+), discount stores (E-mart, Homeplus, Lotte Mart, Lotte Super, GS Super, Hanaro Club, Mega Mart, Top Mart, Save Zone), department stores and outlets (Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, Hyundai Department Store, Galleria Department Store, I'Park Department Store, Grand Department Store, Daedong Department Store, NewCore Department Store, NC Department Store, Happy Department Store, 2001 Outlet, Shinsegae Outlet), and convenience stores (GS25, CU, E-mart24).

The annual fee is 27,000 KRW for domestic use only and 30,000 KRW for international use.

Shinhan Card also prepared a launch event for the Shop Pay Shinhan Card. Until November 30, customers who use any one of the seven major simple payment methods with the Shop Pay Shinhan Card will receive a voucher for one Starbucks Americano. Those who use three or more simple payment methods totaling over 30,000 KRW will be awarded 30,000 My Shinhan Points. Using all seven simple payment methods grants an additional 10,000 My Shinhan Points.
