Competition Comparing Walking, Running, Hiking, and Bicycling Using GPS

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Shin Young Securities is holding an event this month where employees compete in exercise achievements.

Shin Young Securities announced on the 1st that it will hold a non-face-to-face in-house event called the 'On and Off Race' throughout this month.

Accordingly, all employees will compete individually and in teams in four categories: walking, running, hiking, and cycling. Exercise amounts will be measured using a GPS-based exercise verification application, and outstanding employees will be rewarded.

Along with this, an environmental protection activity called 'plogging' will also be conducted. Plogging refers to the activity of cleaning up the surrounding environment while walking or running.

A Shin Young Securities official said, "This event was prepared to share exercise experiences among members who have become distant due to frequent telecommuting and separated work caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and to carry out the important task of 'environmental protection' in our era," adding, "It will inject positive energy into the company and contribute to spreading a culture of communication."
