Millie's Library "Receive New Bestsellers Through Subscription Service"

[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The reading platform Millie’s Library announced on the 1st that it will revamp its paper book subscription service.

The core of the revamp is to include a wider variety of paper books in the subscription service, including new bestsellers from bookstores. The existing ‘Millie Original Paper Book Subscription’ service delivered limited edition paper books that had not yet been officially published to subscribers once every two months as a pre-release. However, after the revamp, subscribers will be able to receive new bestsellers from bookstores in the Millie Original paper book version. The basic nature of the subscription service, which allows subscribers to select and receive one book every two months and use all content on the Millie’s Library app, including e-books and audiobooks, without limits, remains unchanged.

The new book lineup introduced this month with the revamp includes two titles: ▲‘Real Estate Investment You Didn’t Know About’ by real estate influencer ‘Ppasyong’ (Kim Hakryeol) and ‘Blue999’ (Kim Wooram), which compiles know-how that can be immediately applied to investment, and ▲‘One Day, I Was Told Your Heart Would Stop,’ a poignant love story that began facing death. Additionally, an essay book will be released on the 8th.

Through this revamp, subscription members will have a broader selection of books. While the previous limited edition paper books in the subscription mainly focused on novels and essays, the content will expand to more diverse fields such as economics and management, self-development, and humanities after the revamp.

Kim Taehyung, head of the content team at Millie’s Library, said, “The new paper book subscription service features a variety of reading content, including new releases published simultaneously in bookstores, as well as secondary content utilizing e-books and book IPs.” He added, “We plan to grow as a platform that satisfies subscribers’ tastes and creates a virtuous cycle with partner publishers through continuous content updates such as securing new releases, bestsellers, and book IPs.”
