According to the COVID-19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team on the 30th, as of midnight, the number of people who have completed COVID-19 vaccination is 38,290,846. The vaccination completion rate is 74.6% of the population of South Korea (51,349,116 as of last December) and 86.7% of the population aged 18 and over.
The number of people who completed vaccination the previous day was 689,085. By vaccine type, 369,711 received Moderna, 309,969 received Pfizer, and 8,020 received AstraZeneca (AZ). The remainder were Janssen recipients.
Although 11,035 new AstraZeneca vaccination completions were announced, 3,015 of them received AstraZeneca for the first dose and crossed over to Pfizer for the second dose.
The cumulative number of completed vaccinations by vaccine is 20,587,956 for Pfizer, 10,981,544 for AstraZeneca (including 1,752,524 cross-vaccinations), 5,237,098 for Moderna, and 1,484,248 for Janssen.
On the previous day, 58,513 people received their first vaccine dose. This includes 46,767 for Pfizer, 10,138 for Moderna, 1,385 for Janssen, and 223 for AstraZeneca. Janssen recipients are included in both first and second dose counts.
The number of adverse reaction reports suspected after vaccination reported to health authorities totaled 7,182 over the three days from the 27th to the 29th. Fifteen additional death reports were made during this period. Authorities plan to investigate the causal relationship between vaccination and death.
Since the start of domestic vaccination on February 26, the cumulative number of suspected adverse reaction reports is 351,919 (with 835 cumulative deaths). This accounts for approximately 0.45% of the cumulative vaccination count (77,982,054) as of midnight on the day.
