Offline Applications Available at Job Integration Support Center Starting from the 3rd of Next Month
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 28th that it is accepting applications for compensation payments for small business owners affected by COVID-19.
The eligible recipients for this compensation are small business owners (about 600 locations) and small enterprises that suffered business losses due to assembly bans or operating hour restrictions imposed under the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act from July 7 to September 30.
The average daily loss amount is calculated by multiplying the decrease in average daily sales in the corresponding months of 2021 compared to 2019 by the sum of the 2019 operating profit margin and the proportions of labor costs and rent.
The upper limit for quarterly compensation is 100 million KRW, and the lower limit is 100,000 KRW.
Applications can be submitted through the Loss Compensation website, and for small business owners who have difficulty applying online, a dedicated counter will be set up at the Integrated Job Support Center starting from the 3rd of next month.
To reduce the burden of document verification, data required for calculating compensation will utilize National Tax Service tax data (tax infrastructure data, value-added tax, comprehensive income tax, corporate tax filing data, etc.) and local government quarantine measure facility lists (businesses complying with assembly bans and operating restrictions).
If the applicant disagrees with the calculated compensation amount or if it is difficult to calculate the compensation based solely on tax data, additional supporting documents can be submitted to recalculate the compensation amount.
A county official stated, “We will strive to provide prompt support to small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 quarantine measures.”
