[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] Congressman Kim Du-gwan, who participated in the Democratic Party presidential primary, has agreed to serve as co-chairman of candidate Lee Jae-myung's joint campaign committee. Kim will also concurrently serve as chairman of the candidate's direct National Balanced Development Committee.

Park Hong-geun, Lee's chief of staff, told reporters after the meeting between the two on the 28th, "We agreed that Congressman Kim will participate as co-chairman of the joint campaign committee and concurrently serve as chairman of the Balanced Development Committee."

Congressman Kim also expressed his intention to actively campaign mainly in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions.

With this, candidate Lee has completed the 'One Team Meeting' with the five primary candidates. Former party leader Lee Nak-yeon and former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun will serve as standing advisors to the campaign committee, and former Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae has joined as honorary co-chairwoman.

Congressman Park explained, "Former leader Lee and former Prime Minister Chung have held positions as former party leader, prime minister, and speaker of the National Assembly, so we considered their status. Former leader Chu strongly wishes to be more active and expressed a strong will to take on a direct chairmanship herself. As a matter of courtesy, we requested her to serve as honorary co-chairwoman, and she accepted."
