[Haenam=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jeonnam Haenam-gun (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 28th that it will hold the ‘K-JAZZ Love Letter’ performance featuring the queen of trot Joo Hyun-mi, jazz vocalist Lee Kyung-woo, and jazz group Pil-yoon Band at 7 p.m. on the 11th of next month at the Haenam Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater.
Joo Hyun-mi, a top-tier singer who has been loved for a long time with her unique singing style and charm, will present jazz versions of her hit songs such as "Rainy Yeongdonggyo" and "That Person in Sinsa-dong."
Lee Kyung-woo, a former member of the male duo ‘Hasawa Byeongjang’ who gained great popularity in the 1970s with the song "Cotton Field," is expected to showcase his true jazz vocalist talent on stage.
Additionally, this performance will be held in a concert format featuring the deep and charming performance of the Pil-yoon Band led by the world-renowned jazz drummer Pil-yoon, providing an opportunity to experience a high-quality show filled with jazz sensibility.
The performance is selected for the Korea Culture and Arts Centers Association’s Bangbanggokgok Cultural Sympathy Contest project and will be held with partial funding support. Advance reservations (limited to 2 tickets per person) can be made through Culture N Ticket starting at 10 a.m. on the 3rd of next month. Admission is free.
