70s Pedestrian Hit While Crossing Street, Unlicensed Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Suspect Arrested

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] A man in his 20s who hit a pedestrian in his 70s while riding a motorcycle without a license and fled the scene has been caught by the police.


On the 28th, the Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced that they have apprehended and are investigating A (22) on charges of hit-and-run injury under the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.


A is accused of hitting B (70), who was crossing a six-lane road in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, at around 6:18 a.m. on the 19th.


A, who was unlicensed, hit B and fled the scene, but was caught by the police who launched an investigation after receiving a report on the 23rd.


B is currently known to have sustained serious injuries to his leg.
