[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] SK Stoa announced on the 28th that it has signed a business agreement with the comprehensive testing and inspection agency OATC to "secure product safety and strengthen quality competitiveness."
The two companies agreed to work together to enhance competitiveness by ensuring the safety of various product categories such as cosmetics, food, sanitary products, and quasi-drugs, and by conducting high-level tests including harmful substance inspections. They also decided to establish a close cooperative system by providing product safety management, import customs-related consulting, and advisory services.
OATC is a bio research institute that conducts a variety of businesses ranging from testing and inspection to clinical trials and the development of treatments for brain diseases, based on accumulated bio research capabilities. In particular, it has been certified and designated as a testing and inspection agency for 11 items including cosmetics and sanitary products by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and also handles skin clinical trials, human application tests, and functional ingredient approval procedures.
An SK Stoa official said, "The safety of the products we sell can never be emphasized enough. Especially since we sell products through online and TV channels where customers cannot directly touch or try them, it is our role to give customers confidence in the products." He added, "We will continue to focus on product safety and quality management to meet customer trust."
