Mun Hongseong, New CBO of Doosan Corporation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Doosan Group has appointed President Moon Hongseong, who was in charge of future strategy and new businesses at Doosan Corporation, as Chief Business Officer (CBO) overseeing the entire company’s business.
According to Doosan Group on the 27th, Moon, who was the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), was appointed as CBO on the same day. CBO Moon will oversee the business divisions within Doosan Corporation, including the Electronics BG, as well as new businesses such as Doosan Robotics, Doosan Mobility Innovation, and Doosan Logistics Solutions.
Since early this year, CBO Moon has been leading the new business division responsible for Doosan’s three major new businesses: robots, hydrogen drones, and logistics.
CBO Moon graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Economics and began his public service career by passing the 31st Administrative Examination. He served as head of the International Organizations Division, Financial Cooperation Division, and Foreign Currency Funds Division at the former Ministry of Strategy and Finance. In 2010, he moved to Doosan Corporation, serving as Executive Director and Vice President in the Holding Company’s Strategy Support Office. He then served as CEO of Doosan DLI, which functions as the group’s economic research institute, before returning as Doosan President in 2019.
