Zuckerberg Sued... "Did Not Receive Proper Salary While Working at Family Company"

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, who has been under intense scrutiny due to internal whistleblowing, is now facing a lawsuit related to his family office.

On the 27th (local time), NBC News, citing the American media Insider, reported that Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan were sued last month by two former employees who worked at the family office managing and overseeing their family wealth.

The lawsuit alleges unpaid wages, sexual harassment, and discrimination during their employment. The Zuckerbergs were named as defendants regarding unpaid wages, while the family office was the defendant concerning sexual harassment and discrimination. Facebook was not included.

The plaintiffs are Mia Kang, a Black woman, and John Doe, a man. Mia Kang worked at the company responsible for the Zuckerberg family's security from May 2018 to February 2019, and John Doe worked at the company managing and overseeing the Zuckerberg family's wealth from January 2017 to March 2019.

Mia Kang claimed that during her employment, she was subjected to inappropriate comments about her chest and insulting remarks such as "ghetto" from other employees. She also stated that she was not properly compensated for overtime. John Doe similarly claimed that he had to work 17 hours daily but did not receive overtime pay.

Ben LaBolt, a spokesperson for the Zuckerberg family, said, "We take allegations of workplace misconduct very seriously," adding, "After several weeks of independent investigation into the claims, we found no evidence to support the allegations."
