Wando-gun Operates Daily Recovery Task Force to Prepare for the 'With Corona Era'

[Wando＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do is accelerating preparations for the With COVID-19 era by devising support measures to safely return to daily life from COVID-19.

According to the county on the 27th, the 'Wando-gun Daily Life Recovery Promotion Team' is led by County Governor Shin Woo-cheol and operates with three divisions: the Autonomous Support Division, Economic Industry Countermeasures Division, and Living Quarantine Countermeasures Division, as well as seven teams: the Living Stability Team, Small Business Support Team, Social Disaster Management Team, Economic Livelihood Team, Living Quarantine Team, and Medical Quarantine Team.

In particular, the Small Business Support Team promotes recovery of damages to small business owners and support in employment and labor fields; the Economic Livelihood Team works on expanding sales channels for local agricultural, fishery, and livestock products and developing tourism policies suitable for the With COVID-19 era; and the Medical Quarantine Team promotes vaccination and responds to the reorganization of the medical quarantine system.

On the 4th of next month, a meeting of the Daily Life Recovery Promotion Team will be held to discover and implement support ideas tailored to the characteristics of the region.

Meanwhile, as of the 27th, about 43,000 people, accounting for 87% of the total population (49,673), have completed the first vaccination, and 80% have completed the second vaccination in Wando-gun.

Governor Shin Woo-cheol said, "I thank the residents who have actively participated and cooperated in following quarantine rules, social distancing, and vaccinations so far," adding, "We will continue to maintain a tight quarantine network to regain our precious daily lives and revitalize the local economy."
