[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 27th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics stated in its Q3 earnings conference call that "MLCC (Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor) shipments in the third quarter were similar to the previous quarter, and with the expansion of industrial and automotive demand, the operation rate was close to full capacity." They added, "Inventory levels slightly increased but remained at a healthy level, and the ASP (Average Selling Price) rose compared to the previous quarter due to the expansion of high-capacity products." They further forecasted, "In the fourth quarter, a temporary decrease in shipments is expected due to inventory adjustments by set manufacturers centered on IT, which will likely cause a slight increase in inventory. However, demand for high-capacity network and automotive products is expected to remain robust."
