On the 27th, the Gyeonggi Office of Education announced that six cases were selected and awarded at the '2021 Educational Autonomy-Local Autonomy Linkage and Cooperation Best Practice Competition,' jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization.
The outstanding cases include ▲Goyang Win-Win Education Development Council Governance (Gold Prize, Goyang Office of Education - Goyang City Hall) ▲Public-Private-Academic Cooperation Youth Space (Silver Prize, Yangpyeong Office of Education - Yangpyeong County Office) ▲Career Education Based on Working Group Cooperation (Silver Prize, Anyang Gwacheon Office of Education - Anyang City Hall) ▲Public-Private-Academic Cooperation Council with Youth Participation (Silver Prize, Gunpo Uiwang Office of Education - Gunpo City Hall) ▲Public-Private-Academic Cooperation Elementary School After-School Care Center (Bronze Prize, Seongnam Office of Education - Seongnam City Hall) ▲Formation of the Gyeonggi Education Development Council (Bronze Prize, Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education - Gyeonggi Provincial Government - Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly - Gyeonggi Mayors and Governors Association - Gyeonggi City and County Council Chairpersons Association).
Lee Geum-jae, Director of Educational Cooperation at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, stated, "Various projects have been selected as best practices amid active exchanges with local governments according to the conditions and demands of each city and county. We hope that the cooperative relationship between educational autonomy and local autonomy will be further solidified."
