[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jeonnam Yeongam Fire Station (Chief Park Hak-soon) announced on the 27th that, in preparation for various mountain accidents during the autumn season when the number of hikers increases, they conducted joint training with Wolchulsan National Park Corporation to improve the life-saving skills of rescue personnel and establish a rapid life-saving system.
The training took place on the 26th from 10 a.m. around Yongbawi in Wolchulsan National Park. The main contents included emergency treatment for fall patients due to slips, rescue techniques for those in need, climbing skills on rock walls, and basic CPR education.
Additionally, before the training began, a campaign for safe hiking and other wildfire prevention campaigns were conducted at the trail entrance together with national park personnel, focusing all efforts on preventing life-threatening accidents.
Chief Park Hak-soon stated, “We will do our best to ensure that the residents of Yeongam-gun can enjoy safer and more enjoyable hikes through continuous rescue training and various prevention campaigns.”
