Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Store Donates Goods to Areumdawoon Gage

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch announced on the 27th that it donated recyclable items to Beautiful Store on the 26th to practice sharing with the underprivileged in the region.

The handover ceremony held at the Busan branch was attended by Han Se-gyeong, Head of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch, Ha Jin-yeon, Head of Beautiful Store Busan Headquarters, and others.

Employees of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch collected about 300 items including clothing, books, bags, and miscellaneous goods over the past month. These items will be sold at 'We Are One Sharing Market,' the largest sharing market in Korea, and the proceeds will be delivered to low-income families in Busan to be used for emotional support, character education, emergency livelihood support, and meal support.

Han Se-gyeong, Head of Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch, said, "I hope that during this difficult time due to COVID-19, our neighbors in need do not feel isolated and can live their daily lives comfortably," adding, "In the future, Shinsegae Duty Free will continue to look after marginalized neighbors and fulfill its corporate responsibility to establish a culture of sharing throughout society."

Meanwhile, Shinsegae Duty Free Busan Branch continues various volunteer activities such as delivering briquettes to the underprivileged in cooperation with local welfare centers, donating daily necessities to elderly living alone during the Chuseok holiday, and supporting scholarships for low-income youth in Haeundae District.
