Ministry of SMEs and Startups Hosts the 22nd SME Technology Innovation Exhibition

[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that the "22nd Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Innovation Exhibition" will be held both online and offline until the 28th.

The SME Technology Innovation Exhibition is a technology innovation exhibition specialized for small and medium enterprises. According to the Ministry, it has played a role in highlighting the importance of technology innovation for SMEs for about 20 years. The slogan for this year's event is "K-Innovative Companies, the Beginning of a Great Transformation."

This year, considering the COVID-19 situation, a virtual reality (VR)-based online exhibition hall was prepared as it was last year. Innovative technologies and products from about 200 SMEs are exhibited. Last year, to support participating SMEs in securing sales channels, purchase consultations and live interviews were held during the event. The online exhibition hall can be viewed free of charge by anyone through the Technology Innovation Exhibition website until the end of next month.

On the 27th, the main event day, Minister Kwon Chil-seung of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and others attended the event. Minister Kwon awarded 187 individuals who contributed to SME technology innovation. Additionally, the Ministry held a new technology and new product presentation and selected 11 companies as K-Innovative Companies.

Minister Kwon Chil-seung said, "Ahead of the transition to With-Corona, the Technology Innovation Exhibition will be of great help in pioneering sales channels and business exchanges for SMEs," adding, "We will actively support promising SMEs so that they can lead the global market based on innovative technologies."
