According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 27th, four people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 last night and were classified as cases 5317 to 5320.
Among them, three were contacts of case 5316, who was confirmed earlier the same day. Case 5316, a high school student, tested positive after showing symptoms, and a subsequent full school screening reportedly returned all negative results.
The other case is related to a chain infection linked to a confirmed case in Gangnam-gu.
In the Gwangju area, since 15 cases were reported on the 20th, the number of daily confirmed cases has remained in single digits for six consecutive days, showing signs of stabilization.
As of now, the total cumulative number of confirmed cases is 5,320, with 5,225 patients recovered and discharged, 66 undergoing isolation treatment, and 29 deaths.
