[Asia Economy Reporter Kim So-young] Heo Kyung-young, the presidential candidate of the National Revolutionary Party, sent a message of protest toward Hong Joon-pyo, a preliminary candidate of the People Power Party presidential primary, who referred to him as 'Heo Kyung-young-i' during a TV debate.

On the 26th, Heo posted on his Facebook, "Candidate Hong, I have previously run in two presidential elections, and currently I am an official preliminary candidate who has completed the 20th presidential election process, belonging to a respectable party called the National Revolutionary Party."

He continued, "Isn't there a slight problem in publicly referring to me as 'Heo Kyung-young-i' in a head-to-head debate?" he protested.

He then suggested, "(Candidate Hong) has put forward many claims that align with Heo Kyung-young's pledges, such as reducing the number of National Assembly members, advocating for a volunteer military system, abolishing the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and pardoning former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye. How about meeting once to discuss whether my claims are unrealistic or not?"

Earlier, during the People Power Party head-to-head debate held on the 22nd, while discussing 'low birthrate measures' with candidate Won Hee-ryong, Won said, "If we talk about the most enthusiastic person regarding direct support measures, no one can beat Heo Kyung-young," to which Hong responded, "Isn't Heo Kyung-young-i's pledge somewhat unrealistic?"
