Seoul Mobility Show Special Experience Zone Opens in Janghanpyeong

[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee announced on the 27th that a mobility service specialized experience zone for the ‘Seoul Mobility Show,’ which will be held at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do from next month 26th to December 5th, will be set up in Janghanpyeong, Seoul.

Visitors can experience last-mile mobility, a mobility startup forum, a call taxi experience between KINTEX and Janghanpyeong, and the ‘Monthly Janghanpyeong’ exhibition where they can meet automobile artisans at the Janghanpyeong Automobile Industry Comprehensive Information Center (hereafter JAC) near Janghanpyeong Station on Subway Line 5 during the Seoul Mobility Show exhibition period from next month 26th to December 5th.

This plan was prepared to improve accessibility for visitors from Seoul and eastern Gyeonggi areas and to disperse visitor density inside the KINTEX exhibition hall considering the COVID-19 situation.

At the same time, it is promoted to utilize various automobile experience programs held by JAC, a hub of Seoul’s automobile industry, and the mobility exhibition contents of the Seoul Mobility Show in a multidimensional way.

The method of setting up exhibition contents outside the exhibition hall was also attempted at the German ‘IAA Mobility 2021’ held last September. IAA increased visitor accessibility by opening open space exhibitions at six famous spots in Munich city along with the Munich exhibition hall (Messe M?nchen).

A representative of the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee said, “In line with the exhibition concept of the Seoul Mobility Show, which is the evolution of mobility, we will hold experience and exhibition events not only at JAC but also in other areas such as Paju so that many citizens can experience the mobility ecosystem.” He added, “JAC is perfect for family visitors as it offers not only opportunities to buy and sell used cars but also various exhibitions and experience programs.”

Meanwhile, JAC was established in 2017 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to revitalize and modernize the automobile industry in the Janghanpyeong area.
