Joint Research on Effective Components of Culture Solution and Crop Growth Technology for WellsFarm

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Health appliance brand Wells is collaborating with eco-friendly agricultural materials manufacturer Daeyu on plant cultivator nutrient solution technology.
Wells announced on the 26th that on the 25th, a signing ceremony was held at Daeyu's headquarters in Seoul, attended by Wells Business Director Choi Jaeyoung, Technology Development Team Leader Kim Junsu, Daeyu Vice President Park Younggyu, and Daeyu Operations Support Director Lee Beopjong.
This agreement was established to develop functional nutrient solutions for new crops exclusive to Wells' home smart farm "WellsFarm" and to jointly research the efficacy of nutrient solution components and crop growth technologies. The two companies plan to cooperate by exchanging customized information for each crop, mutually supporting technologies and testing facilities for optimal WellsFarm crop growth.
WellsFarm currently operates six functional vegetable packages composed of over 20 types of vegetable seedlings through a subscription model. Wells explained that it has recorded cumulative sales of 42,000 units as of September, drawing attention for its smart farm devices optimized for cultivation, easy cultivation method allowing harvest one week after seedling installation, and specialized management services by WellsFarm engineers.
A Wells representative said, "Wells is dedicated to improving the quality of WellsFarm devices and services through in-house research and collaboration with external institutions. We will solidify our position as the leading home smart farm brand through 'WellsFarm,' which anyone can easily cultivate, and functional vegetable packages that consumers can trust."
A Daeyu representative stated, "Based on this agreement, we will strive to expand our influence in the home gardening market and contribute to the production of safe food for the public as well as the development of friendly and eco-friendly agriculture."
