Korea Post, Launches Enhanced Post Office Open Banking Service from the 27th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] From now on, automatic top-up and balance aggregation will be possible even with post office passbooks.
The Korea Post under the Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 26th that it will launch an upgraded Korea Post Open Banking service starting on the 27th. The newly introduced services include ▲ ‘Automatic Top-up,’ which automatically tops up insufficient balances on various due dates such as card payment deadlines, and ▲ ‘Balance Aggregation,’ which allows bulk transfers from multiple bank accounts to a Korea Post account at once. The automatic top-up service is a customized service for busy modern people and is expected to significantly reduce missed payments and late fees caused by insufficient balances.
To celebrate the launch of the enhanced open banking service, Korea Post Finance will hold the event “More Convenient Open Banking Service! Don’t Spread the Word!” until the 30th of next month. This event targets customers who use the automatic top-up and balance aggregation services and will provide various prizes, from event cash usable like cash to the Galaxy Z Flip3, to 11,156 winners.
