Data Industry Ecosystem Development and Administrative Service Support Planned

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 26th that it has signed a big data business agreement with Pohang City. This is to create a data industry ecosystem through the fusion of public and private data and to support administrative services based on big data.
According to this agreement, KB Kookmin Card and Pohang City will ▲ promote public services and public interest projects utilizing big data ▲ establish a data cooperation system including big data technology support and information sharing ▲ provide big data-based analysis materials on current issues such as COVID-19 ▲ strengthen public-private cooperation through big data by analyzing the local economy and exploring ways to revitalize commercial districts using card sales data.
They also plan to continue a comprehensive mutual cooperation relationship in the big data field, including linking and exchanging public and private data they each hold, as well as discovering various big data pilot projects.
A KB Kookmin Card official said, "This agreement is expected to contribute to leading the digital economy by discovering and utilizing valuable public data from private data and local communities, and also serve as a foundation for revitalizing local commercial districts and improving public services." He added, "We will strengthen practical cooperation centered on a working-level consultative body to promote smooth big data business cooperation and strive to produce visible results, making this a successful case of big data-based public-private cooperation."
