Wanju-gun, Recruiting Students for Residential Agricultural Startup Support Center Enrollment

[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 25th that it is recruiting students for the residential agricultural startup support center, where families can live together and receive farming education throughout the next year.

The recruitment of students will take place over a total of three weeks until the 12th of next month. Applications can be submitted either by visiting the Wanju County Agriculture and Livestock Division's Return-to-Farming and Returning-to-Village Team in person or via email.

Selected students will live at the Agricultural Startup Support Center located in Samgi-ri, Gosan-myeon.

This is a villa-type housing where a total of 10 households reside and receive education: four households in 22-pyeong units and six households in 18-pyeong units.

Urban residents considering returning to farming can live in Wanju County and receive comprehensive consulting on farming and rural life, making it popular every year.

In particular, by residing for about one year, students receive over 200 hours of basic farming education annually, farming practice, one-on-one mentoring with farms, customized consulting, and practical support, strengthening the capabilities of prospective farmers and helping them settle stably in Wanju County.

Meanwhile, besides the residential agricultural startup support center, Wanju County also continuously recruits for the ‘House for Returnees to Farming,’ which operates by renovating vacant houses in each town and township so that returnees can live directly with village residents and experience returning to farming and rural life.
