Participation of 14 Sponsoring Organizations Including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport from the 22nd to 23rd

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Seul-gi] The Korean Society of Land and Urban Planning (President Kim Hyun-soo, photo) held its autumn academic conference at COEX Convention Center from the 22nd to the 23rd.
A total of 180 papers were presented across 45 sessions, with over 500 participants. The event was conducted on a metaverse platform, which is gaining attention as a new non-face-to-face communication technology.
The conference theme, "Post-COVID Land Policy and Urban Policy," focused on urban policies (research on amendments to the National Land Planning Act) and land policies (research on urban convergence special zones) promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Other topics included "Changes in Seoul and Policy Directions after COVID-19" (Seoul Institute), "Research on Spatial Implementation of Future-type New Industrial Complexes" (LH Research Institute), "Evolution of PropTech through the Metaverse" (Korea PropTech Forum), and "The Path from Digital Twin to Metaverse" (Seoul Institute of Technology), among various current issues. All presentations and discussions were broadcast on the YouTube channel "City TV" and are available for replay.
Meanwhile, 14 organizations participated as sponsors, including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, LH, LH Research Institute, Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements, Seoul Institute, Seoul Institute of Technology, Korea PropTech Forum, and Korea Asset Development.
