[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) has actively promoted the ‘Bojo-geum24’ service to increase its usage and awareness.
The ‘Bojo-geum24’ service is a customized guidance service that allows users to easily and quickly check various benefits provided by the government and local governments simply by logging into ‘Government24’.
It has been officially implemented nationwide since April this year.
Since April, the district has produced various promotional materials and conducted intensive online and offline promotional activities to activate the use of Bojo-geum24. As a result, as of the 15th, about 21,000 residents of the district have used the Bojo-geum24 service.
‘Bojo-geum24’ is a system that allows users to check 305 services provided by central government ministries at once through the government’s representative portal, Government24, including child care allowances, energy vouchers, and youth preferential subscription savings accounts.
Bojo-geum24 links personal age, household characteristics, and welfare eligibility information to provide customized benefit information.
After logging into Government24 and consenting to use Bojo-geum24, any citizen can check the benefits they are entitled to receive from the government, as well as benefits available for children under 14 years old, and can receive the same guidance at nearby community service centers.
Additionally, for digitally vulnerable groups, community service centers offer on-site guidance services, so if online application is difficult, residents can bring their ID and apply at the nearest community center.
Previously, to check subsidies provided by institutions, one had to visit each ministry’s website or government office, but it is expected that these inconveniences will be resolved through the ‘Bojo-geum24’ service.
It is also expected that cases of people not receiving subsidies because they do not know how to apply or are unaware of their eligibility will significantly decrease.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “The Bojo-geum24 service is an innovative administrative service system that allows users to check government benefits with just one click on Government24. From the end of this year, it will expand from linking 305 public services of central ministries to include local government services. We hope many Eunpyeong residents will participate and take interest to check their subsidy benefits.”
